That's why Google made gmail apps for different kind of devices like Android, iPhone, Java etc. With this one can check emails from their Smartphones easily. If you don't wanna use this kind of apps just for checking mail, you can do one thing. You can activate SMS alerts from gmail. Do you know How To Get SMS Notification From Gmail:
Just Follow My Instructions:
- Log in to your gmail account
- Click Mail Setting
- Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP
- Click Add a Forwarding Address
- Type your phone number's Carrier Specific Email SMS Gateway
- You will receive a email from gmail on your phone
- Open the mail
- Click on the confirmation link
- By doing this you allow gmail to use your phone's gateway as a forwarder
- Go to Gmail setting again and click on filter tab
- Find a button Create a New Filter and click that
- Now you can customize your filter if you need.
- Click on SEND IT TO and set your mobile number's email address
- Finally, Click on Create Filter button.
